| Introduction |

Welcome to pulp fashion. Over the past year or two I've noticed a great deal of interest in 20s/30s pulp adventure clothes, especially among fans of steampunk. Certainly, the genre has a lot going for it: everyone loves airships, goggles, aviator caps, leather pilot's jackets and ray guns, and why shouldn't they? Well, rest assured that pulp is loaded to the gills with all manner of exciting adventure and weird science, and in an age after the fall of empires but before the rigidity of the Cold War's mutually assured destruction all things are possible.
I hope that this community will provide a service to fans of retro-futurism. Please feel free to post your pulp pictures, your latest creations, your covetous wish lists, and your wild imaginings. Share, have fun, and join in the wonder that is pulp.
Remember, all things are possible. It's time to enjoy yesterday's future today. |
